Welcome to the Brain Injury Association of North Bay and Area

BIANBA is a local non-profit association, and we are a Registered Charity (# 85712 6148 RR0001). We consist of eight volunteer Board members, and one Peer Support Coordinator. BIANBA receives no funding from our regional Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). We are totally reliant on donations, fundraising activities, and proceeds from memberships to provide much needed support in our communities.

BIANBA is proud to be an affiliate of the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA), and we encourage people in our area to purchase a "dual membership" that allows members to take advantage of opportunities offered by both OBIA and BIANBA. Click on this link to get more information about dual memberships, and to complete the online application form. OBIA Dual Membership

BIANBA is located in the city of North Bay and operates within the District of Nipissing, within traditional Anishinabek Territory, on lands occupied by the Peoples of Nipissing and Dokis First Nations whose aboriginal and treaty rights are recognized by the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 and affirmed by Section 35 (1) of the Constitution Act of Canada, 1982. BIANBA acknowledges the Nations responsible for the preservation of this territory and wishes to honour the traditions of its caretakers
